Vladimir Karamazov, EFIAP

He was born in 1979 in Sofia, Bulgaria.
He studied classical dramatic theater at the National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts. He has been an actor in the National Theater “Ivan Vazov” for 20 years and has played many roles in cinema, theater and television.

Here is what he shares about himself:
I have always been taking pictures but in 2019 it became my main occupation. The moment came when I wanted to express myself through my art, not to be just an interpreter. To offer an insight into my fantasies, my ideas and tell my stories. I have lived for many years through the plots and characters of the world’s great authors which helps me a lot as a photographer. I explore the images, the places, the atmosphere of the plays in which I have acted. I’m looking for extraordinary people with dramatic and interesting stories. Photography helps me to acquire deeper knowledge of humanity in its complexity and scale and reveals my true self.”

In recent years, Vladimir Karamazov has actively participated in international photography contests under the auspices of FIAP and many other world photography organizations where, in addition to hundreds of accepted images, he has won numerous awards. Member of “Yanka Kyurkchieva” National Association Academy of Photography. In 2021, he was awarded the AFIAP distinction, followed by EFIAP in 2022.
